Leeds Carnegie Basketball Foundation
What We Do:
The Leeds Carnegie Basketball Foundation (LCBF) is an integral piece to aid the development of the Carnegie Basketball programme. Our work enables sustained growth of basketball across the city. We aim to embrace all diversities of the population in the communities which we serve to build a high quality basketball future for the region. It is key that the quality, commitment and aspirations of the grassroots and participation tiers marry with those that lie in the performance domain.
Schools:
The LCBF employ community basketball coaches and a number of multi-sport coaches (tennis, cricket, multi-skills) to carry out work within local primary schools. The schools work is our main marketing tool to grow our community sessions through invites, Talent I.D. discount, and festivals. Overall this is vital to raising participation rates in basketball across the junior age range.
We can offer daytime PPA cover to schools utilising a multitude of delivery schemes. In addition we actively run after school clubs to increase young people OSHL. If you would like LCBF to deliver in your school please contact us for information on prices and available time slots.

Central Venue League:
The Central Venue League is a system set up to give competitive opportunities to our community clubs as a means of sustaining our cohort of junior players attending our community sessions. Many of our players enjoy the competitive opportunities created by the CVL and it creates an ideal family day as we try to organise our CVL days at the home venue of Leeds Carnegie Basketball, therefore the participants of the CVL get to watch a high quality basketball game after their matches.
For details on our next CVL please contact us.
